This burger is the least photogenic burger I’ve ever encountered. Honestly, it’s flat, pale, and all of the flavoursome fillings are almost completely obscured within. It’s a shame because I actually really liked it. It’s like the burger equivalent of if you tried to describe The Big Lebowski to someone in a sentence.

But then you watch the film and there are amputated toes (beetroot), nihilists (pineapple), and John Turturro as a paedophile (a squirt of mayo).
The patty is a portobello mushroom and sweet potato patty, and it’s quite nice. I’m generally glad when a burger steers clear of a lentil patty, and this one is flavourful and not grainy. Beetroot and pineapple are good choices because a sweet element to a savoury burger is often neglected, but also always appreciated.
Also, the chips are presented in a mini fry basket prison because stacking your chips in a vertical basket leaves more space on the plate for awesome skids and wheelies.
