Winter Walks

Normally a Sunday morning would involve getting up early and going to the gym, but since I have set my monthly running challenges, I am keen to run as often as I can to take me closer to my goal. My daughter joined me today; we ran for 1 mile so I have now made progress by 5% and only have 37.74 miles to complete by the end of February!

Bitterly cold, but such a beautiful day with bright blue skies, we decided that it was the perfect day to get out in the fresh air which is not only great for physical well-being but also a massive plus for our mental health. Although the recent snow fall missed us, we thought we would head up onto the North Downs to see if there was any of the white stuff on higher ground.

Well, yes there was, to say we were surprised is an understatement!

There is a feeling of total freedom when outside in nature and today was particularly special with the peacefulness that snow brings!

Clients will often say that they don’t have time for exercise, but exercise doesn’t have to be going to a gym or taking part in an exercise class, the most important aspect is to just get moving and if you can instill this in your children at a young age, even better!

I love teaching my outdoor classes and am really lucky to have the beauty of Mote Park as the back drop, whatever the season there is always a view to be enjoyed!

Dust your wellies off ready for next weekend and see what you can discover in your local area…
