What is the first thing you notice when you meet someone for the very first time? For me, it has to be their smile! I love nothing more than a nice bright smile and teeth that are visibly well cared for.

I have always looked after my teeth as best I can and I am lucky that they are naturally fairly white, this probably has a lot to do with the fact that I don't drink tea or coffee - yep I know…how odd am I? 🤣

When I was contacted by ION-Sei to try out their revolutionary Electric Toothbrush it really was a no brainer! I am always willing to try something that will help keep my teeth healthy.

The ION-Sei has been around since 2017 but has just launched in Ireland and the UK, it is now available to purchase instore and online from Arnotts and retails at €149.99

On the Arnotts website the ION-Sei is decribed as follows: “ION-Sei uses a patented new technology combining UV light, with a Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) rod and Water, generating electrons and ions that suppress the bacteria which cause plaque to develop. The regular use of the ION-Sei electric toothbrush inhibits bacteria build up so over time eliminating plaque. Conventional electric toothbrushes use mechanical brushing to remove bacteria, which can return within a few hours to generate further plaque deposits. ION-Sei also works with your body’s natural electrical charge through a conductor on the handle, producing a weak charge that inhibits bacterial growth and helps to attract bacteria from teeth onto the brush”

It has been over a month since I first received my ION-Sei but I wanted to wait until I had used it over a few weeks and gave it a good trial before I did my review!

At first glance the toothbrush is very sleek looking, it is also very lightweight.

The electric toothbrush feels great against my teeth, it is very soft to use but my teeth always feel extremely clean after using it. It charges via a USB charger and the charge lasts ages which is definitely a big plus. Also included is a stand and two brush heads - a soft and a standard. I use the soft! The toothbrush has a timer which is just brilliant and it also has 3 brushing modes! It comes in two colours, day white and lake blue. I have the white and I recently gave away the blue over on my Instagram page - my husband was a small bit upset about this as he thought he was keeping the blue one 🙈he is even more in to keeping his teeth clean and healthy than I am!

The thing that fascinates me the most about this toothbrush is that where most electric toothbrushes only remove some of the plaque and bacteria, ion technology in the ION-Sei actually suppresses the bacteria causing plaque too.

I am thrilled with my new ION-Sei toothbrush and it has now become my favourite electric toothbrush by far.

If you are in the market for a new electric toothbrush, I would definitely recommend tryingthe ION-Sei.
